Now you can get started with your personal profile! Your profile helps potential host families to gain an impression of you and to get an idea of what makes you special. Once completed, you can return your application to us either via mail or as a scanned document by email.Step 4 – Your InterviewWe will now invite you to an interview. The interview will either be conducted by phone or in person. Our main priority hereby is to get to know you better and answer all of your remaining questions about the programme as well as to advise you about the next steps.Step 5 – Your Host FamilyOnce we have established that you meet all the programme requirements, all of your application materials including a record of the interview will be sent to our partner organisation. Interested families will then get in touch with you to get to know you better and possibly ask for a match. If a family is interested in your application you will be notified through us. We will give you lots of advice about how to clarify your questions with interested host families in order to ensure that you receive the best match possible. You will talk with a host family at least two or three times before reaching a decision. Once a match is agreed upon, you and your host family will choose your ideal departure date.Step 6 – Payment and VisaNow that you have matched with a host family, we can really get down to business. You will receive an official confirmation of your participation in the AuPairCare programme. Once we have received your programme payment, we will send you all necessary documentation in order to apply for your visa. If you would like, we can also assist you in booking your flight.Step 7 – Arrival Down UnderEither your host family or your local representative will pick you up from the airport and give you a warm welcome. During your first few days, you will get settled and become accustomed to your new host family.Step 8 – A Successful End of ProgrammeThe topic of returning home always comes up much too quickly! Your time as an au pair will fly by, and suddenly you will be contemplating what you would like to do after leaving your host family. You have the option of traveling or looking for a new job for the next 3 to 6 months. The Working Holiday Visa allows you this flexibility. After your successful year, you will receive a completion certificate.Step 9 – Welcome Back HomeGive us a call, drop us a line, and let us know how you are doing! We want to know all about your year, everything you experienced, the people you met, the places you saw. If you want to share your experiences with other former or even future au pairs, we will be more than happy to assist you in this. |
