Seminar in the New York Area: An Exciting Beginning!

Your AuPairCare programme begins with a highlight - four days near New York!
You will be able to relax after the long journey in a comfortable, modern hotel before you continue on to your host family. From Monday until Thursday our AuPairCare colleagues will provide you with essential information about first aid, child safety, educational games and cultural differences. Downtown New York won't be left out - you can join in on a city tour that takes you to all of the major attractions, such as the Empire State Building, Broadway, Times Square, and much more. As if that weren't enough excitement, you will get to meet au pairs from all over the world!

Your support in the USA continues

While in the United States, you will receive support from your American family as well as from your AuPairCare coordinator. Your coordinator will have visited your host family before you arrive in order to explain to them the nature of the programme. In order to be accepted into the programme, your host family must submit personal references and convince your coordinator that they are prepared to accept you as a member of their family. Your coordinator lives no further than one hour's drive away from you and is there for you during your entire year. He or she will assist you in choosing college courses. Aside from this, your coordinator will also organise regular meetings with you and the other au pairs in your region.
