We are very happy that you have decided to become an au pair in the USA and that we were able to accept you to our program. So that you can be found by a suitable host family and start your adventure as soon as possible, you should start with your detailed application now. Here you will find all information and explanations about the further application process.

Our host families choose their au pairs primarily on the basis of their online profile (MyAuPairCare). Here you should show the host families how much you like children and how motivated you are to start your au pair year in the USA. Show them who you are and express your enthusiasm!

The Au pair Program was created to give young people from all over the world the opportunity to live in an American family for at least one year and to take care of their children. The U.S. Department of State and the Department of Homeland Security stipulate that prospective au pairs must submit various documents. Our application guide should help you to keep the overview.

Please download our application guide start gathering your documents while you are working on your online profile. The sooner your documents are uploaded, the quicker we can proceed with your au pair application.

In order to ensure that you can leave on your desired start date, you should complete your complete application by the agreed deadline. Please contact us as soon as you have completed your profile so that we can discuss your entries in your online profile.

As soon as we have received your complete application, we will invite you to a personal interview near you and check your references. Then you can submit your application by clicking the "Submit" button of the main-application. We will then forward your application to our colleagues in the USA. There your application will be activated for our host families after it has been reviewed again. From this point on, interested families can contact you.
