Before you meet your host family for the first time, your Au pair adventure in New Zealand begins with a fun and informative orientation run by our partner agency in the country’s major city Auckland. During three packed days you learn everything you need for a smooth start in New Zealand and get plenty of time to connect with other Au pairs. The orientation is part of the programme and already included in the fees.
Ready to be a Kiwi?
The Auckland orientation is the perfect way to settle into New Zealand. You’ll adjust to the new time zone and take care of all the essentials with help of our partner agency. From opening a bank account to applying for your IRD tax number, you’ll be ready to start work in no time. The orientation also includes theoretical driving lessons.

Don’t worry about being unprepared! In Auckland, interactive workshops teach you the basics of New Zealand’s early education curriculum, how to interact with kids, guide their behavior, and build good relationships. First aid and CPR training are included, so you’ll be ready to start as an Au pair.
