Study at an American college as an au pair? Yes, you can! During your au pair year, you receive $500 to spend on courses of your choice. Whether filmmaking, art, graphic design, American history, a new language, weekend classes or weekly sessions — it’s entirely up to you.
The only requirement is that you earn 6 college credits, as this is an official part of the program.

The year flies by — and you’re not ready to go home yet? Then hit reset! With your au pair visa, you can extend your stay by 6, 9, or 12 months. You still keep your travel month at the end of the program.

You can stay with your current host family (if they agree) or match with a new family in a completely different part of the country.
