The au pair program in Australia usually lasts between 6 and 12 months. Since you’ll be traveling on a Working Holiday Visa, you can also combine your 6 months au pair stay with a Work & Travel experience for up to 6 additional months. This allows you to stay in Australia even longer and explore more of the country.

The Au Pair Australia program includes your placement with a carefully screened host family, plus an au pair contract that outlines all important details like your pocket money, vacation days, tasks, and working hours. You’ll also receive 24/7 support before and throughout your stay in Australia.
There are a few things not included in the program fee. You’ll need to book your own flights and pay for your visa and insurance. Don’t worry though - we’ll guide you through every step and provide all the important information and documents you need.

The program fee for the Au Pair Australia program is 990 €. As a Pro-Pair you can receive a 200 € discount. This discount applies to au pairs who have already completed an au pair program successfully, have special qualifications, or have professional experience in childcare. Can I receive a second working holiday visa for Australia?Read more
Yes. You can apply for a second or even a third Working Holiday Visa. To get it you need to show that you have done “specified work” for the required amount of time. This means at least three months for the second visa and six months for the third. The work has to be in certain fields or industries in approved regional areas of Australia. Typical jobs include farm work you do after your time as an au pair. You can find more details about “specified work” on the Department of Home Affairs website.

Can I extend my au pair stay in Australia?Read more
Yes. You can extend your au pair stay for up to 12 months. You can also split your Working Holiday Visa, spending 6–9 months as an au pair and using the rest of the time to travel and work in other jobs.
