Today we’re heading to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. This 150-kilometer stretch of coastline north of Brisbane is home to about 300,000 people and is one of the country’s top tourist spots. It’s a great place for your next trip.
🌿Noosa – opposites attract🏙️
Noosa is one of the most famous towns on the Sunshine Coast. It’s got a cool mix of nature and culture. Just 10 minutes from town you can get to Noosa National Park, which has a huge variety of plants and animals. Hastings Street is nearby — one of Australia’s nicest shopping streets with boutiques, cafés, and restaurants. From there, you’re just a few steps away from Noosa Main Beach, a popular spot where you can relax or try out different water sports.

🤫A beach all to yourself🏖️
If you want some peace and quiet and a break from everyday life, spend your free days on the Sunshine Coast’s beautiful beaches. Take your host kids or friends to Sunshine Beach, which is perfect for families but not overcrowded. If you’re traveling alone, Peregian Beach is a good pick. The water is crystal clear, the sand is white, and sometimes you might even have the whole beach to yourself.
🚤And action!🏄♀️
What’s a trip to Australia without surfing? The Sunshine Coast’s beaches are so popular that even professional surfers come here to catch waves. At Mooloolaba Harbor, you can take sailing lessons or go deep-sea fishing. Along the coast, you can also go horseback riding on the beach, diving, or snorkeling. If you want something really exciting, try skydiving over the Caloundra coast from 5 kilometers up — it’s an unforgettable way to see the area.

⛰️Mapleton, Montville, and the Mountains🎨
The Glass House Mountains are a must-see. These 12 volcanic peaks rise suddenly from the flat land and offer amazing views. The explorer James Cook named them because they looked like glass melting furnaces.
Near Mapleton, you can go on hikes through the rainforest and see lots of wildlife. A little further south is Montville, known as the creative heart of the region. There you’ll find art galleries, pottery shops, antique dealers, and souvenir stores.
